I am a daily Linux user, never used this distro. FYI you can set this up for free as most Linux distos are free, the difference here is this has some game rooms preloaded. I technically bought it because the drive case looked cool. I am not that much of a gamer so it's hard for me to judge the gameplay. I will probably wipe it and use this as a media travel drive. The drive boots to the Batocera Linux operating system, games appear to be playable. As I said I am not a gamer so I will leave the gate party to someone else. Mine came with a WD blue 500 GB Spin drive inside, it's labeled OLD 500g on the back, see screenshot.
Not bad, case is cheap, HDD is good, Batocera is not perfectly configured but can be fixed, or just use the roms and all the usefull data and create a new one, overall it works good. Several games are duplicated so the number the publication says is way bigger, it might take some time to clean. You can download more games and install them, like Xbox and PS emulators are installed but with no games.
This device is incredible! Now, you will need to do some boot settings in your PC's BIOS to get it working. Considering it's got Batocera GamingOS, you can check to turn it on or off in your computer's settings. Overall, it's a great product.
I love this item and yes I'm a real person. Shipping was really fast I was surprised.
